Privacy Policy

Effective October 4, 2026

NextTalk is a messaging app by SoftControl Enterprise Inc. ("we"). This policy explains what data NextTalk handles, why, and what control you have over it. The core idea is simple: what you write is yours. The content of your conversations is encrypted on your phone and we cannot read it.

1. What we cannot see

2. What we do not ask for

3. What we do store, and why

DataPurpose
Username, display name and, if you add them, profile photo and "about"So people can find and recognise you. You choose who sees your photo, "about" and last seen.
For each device: platform (Android/iOS), public encryption keys, push token, date added and last seenEncrypting messages to your devices, notifying you when something arrives, and listing your linked devices so you can sign out any you don't recognise.
Public keys of your passkeys (optional)Signing in with a passkey. The private key never leaves your device or password manager.
Encrypted messages and attachments, with their metadata: chat, sender (except "sealed" messages), time, size, delivery and read receiptsDelivering each message to every device of every participant, and restoring your history on a new device. Kept until the author deletes them or they expire (disappearing messages).
A record of the files you upload: the account that uploaded it, size, date and which chat and message it was attached to (also for "sealed" messages; never shown to other people)Counting your space: every account includes 20 GB of what it sends (what you receive does not count). Deleted together with the file; a file uploaded but never sent is deleted after 24 hours.
Groups, communities and channels: who is a member and with what role; blocks and settings that must follow you across devices (such as folders)Making those features work.
A copy of your history wrapped with your recovery phraseRestoring your history if you lose all your devices. We cannot open it without your phrase.
Assistant reminder schedule (when to ring, time zone, repetition, whether you confirmed)Ringing all your devices on time even when the app is closed. What is being remembered stays encrypted.
Subscription status: store (Apple or Google), purchase identifier, expiry, auto-renewal; gift codes redeemedKnowing whether your account has access. We do not receive your card or payment details: Apple or Google handle billing.
IP address and app attestation (Apple App Attest / Google Play Integrity) when you sign upStopping mass creation of fake accounts. IP addresses are used for temporary rate limits that expire within hours or a day.
Server technical logs (time, IP address, requested path, errors), without contentSecurity and troubleshooting. Rotated and deleted within a few weeks.
Whatever you send when you report someoneReviewing abuse. We only receive what you choose to include.

4. AI features (optional)

NextTalk has optional AI features: asking the assistant something, summarizing a chat, turning a message into a reminder, getting help writing a message, and the text the voice reads when a reminder "calls" you. They run on Claude, from our provider Anthropic. They come turned off; you turn them on with the "AI features" switch in the assistant settings (or when you confirm your first use) and can turn them off there at any time.

5. Who helps us (processors)

Calls go through a media server (LiveKit software) and a network relay that we operate on our own servers; no third party receives them.

6. Universal delete and retention

7. Your rights

You can view and correct your profile in the app, delete your messages and your account, and write to us at support@nexttalk.app to request access, correction, deletion or objection, or with any privacy question. We reply within 30 days. If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom, California or another jurisdiction with additional rights, you may also complain to your data protection authority.

8. Children

NextTalk is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age set by the law of your country) and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Security

Besides end-to-end encryption, all traffic with our servers uses TLS, private keys never leave your devices and the servers expose only what is essential. No system is infallible: if we detect an incident that affects you, we will tell you.

10. Changes

If we change this policy we will publish the new version here with its date, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
